Answer: Windows 8 comes with a built-in anti-virus called Windows Defender. Windows Defender (in Windows 8) was actually a separate Anti-virus application for called Microsoft Security Essentials. My personal experience with Windows Defender in Windows 8 has been pretty positive so far.
If you’re not a heavy internet user then Windows Defender should be more than enough for you. If you live on the internet like I do then you should grab a copy of either Norton Internet Security or Kaspersky Internet Security. Either of these two apps provide significantly more security than Windows Defender.
